This release contains mostly bug fixes, some little changes, and small additions. A bunch of these were mentioned by you guys in the comments, so thanks for that!
Melee attacks now hit everything in a small area which includes stacked enemies. The Whelp now has a sound effect when it dies and some other sound effects that have been adjusted. We started implementing the graphics for the Character Customization Screen along with some more features (Note: While the character name field works it doesn't save and you won't actually see it anywhere else in the game so it's a bit pointless right now). You can now also remove characters from your party.
Now on to some other things. The poll Kevin had going on his blog for determining the next graphics to be created for the elemental skills has ended. It looks like the order will be: Water, Light, then Nature. We'll be starting on the water skills soon and then the others will follow in time.
We're working on the skill selection screens and hope to have a rough version of that in for next week's release. As the name implies, this screen will allow you to select skills for your characters so you can set them up how you want. Coming up soon will also be profiles which will be handy since it will allow you to retain all your customizations so you don't have to keep setting things up each time you play.
And last but certainly not least, Eba77 commented in the last post that there is a HTD wiki page that has been created by our fans! It can be found here: http://herotowerdefense.wikia.com/wiki/Hero_tower_defense_Wiki

-Fixed overlapping cooldown graphic on abilities
-Fixed a problem with some effects not layering correctly over the enemies

ReplyDeleteYou should put a sign or some sort to show that u died.
ReplyDeleteEventually there will be a death animation for your heroes and so you'll see them there. You'll most likely be able to revive them a few different ways too.

ReplyDeleteDo you know which update the new elemental skills will come in? Along with the new skills screen?
ReplyDeleteAlso, not to be greedy, will you make another male character? Like 2 males + 3 females?!
We're working on implementing the Native, Tier 1 Physical and Tier 1 Magical skills Water, Light, and Nature first. Then we'll start adding adding the others for Tier 2+. I can't give an ETA but we're starting on the first 3 Water skills shortly. :)
DeleteMy making other male/female characters do you mean like an entirely different look? If so, then no. We'll be implementing customization options (hair, skin color, etc) for them but the base will be about the same. There will be more races eventually though.
Will the civian be a playable character? Oh! why should have characters to unlock(just a suggestion...). Oh yeah; and also, when will there be a story and multiple levels to play?

DeleteThe civilian for that level in the actual game will be different but no they won't be playable. But you will meet up with other characters that are playable. Unlockable characters and items are always fun.
DeleteThe story and maps will come after we've established the core mechanics of the game a bit more, such as leveling and equipping your characters.

DeleteIn case you didn't see last time I think as a storyline you could make the woman you protect in the cave turn nout to be a princess that was captured by an evil warloc and once rescued you must travel across the land searching far and wide (sound familliar) looking for his fortress, visiting cities and bandit camps along the way. Then when a member of your team is suddenly possessed by the warloc you have to defeat them to free them and learn his whereabouts ready to finally end his dark reign of terror. DeleteI am curious to know if yall plan on making multiplayer raid options or not, that is what im really looking forward to, also if yall plan on pvp, and where would the best gear be from, hopefully raiding for pve and pvp for pvp, it would be lame if someone could get equivalent gear alone as I got in a raid, thanks a lot for the answers :)

Just some questions...:
ReplyDelete1. Will you ever be able to Lvl up your character?
2. Will there be a Character Customization Screen in which you can change your character's look to how you personally like it?!?!(no need for many looks)
3. How many different classes will there be?
4. Do you like these new elements ideas: earth, wind, electric, and maybe some stat changers like faster healing and attack, slowing enemies, more defense, more power, and hit multiple enemies?
I know that this is a bit overwhemling...But these are just a some questions and ideas I had... Hope you liked them! :)
1. Yes, we just haven't implemented the mechanics for it yet. We're getting there though.
Delete2. Yes, we only really have hair or no hair right now but there will be others.
3. A lot, but that's because the class system is dynamic. Basically you don't pick a class, you pick elemental and class skills that you like and they define your class.
4. Earth, Wind, and Electric are basically all considered Nature in this case. So you'll see some skills from Nature that are similar the ideas that you mentioned.

maybe you should add blinded function to the light so they will more likely miss and the accuracy like ptd had
