Late last week I got some great ideas for how I would do the Blaine battle for the Gym Challenge. I've been watching a lot of World of Warcraft on Twitch (while I work), especially guilds trying to beat Mythic Blackrock Foundry (the latest raid dungeon in World of Warcraft). So I think this battle is very influenced by different MMO bosses that I've seen lately. I hope you guys will enjoy! I'll try to make it pretty challenging without making it feel unfair. That is the ultimate goal for game development. I've also added a new poll so that you can vote on what reward you will want for the gym.

The Auction House is still in progress, it is slow and steady but things are coming together, I didn't think it would be fair for you guys that I spent another whole week just on it so I'm also doing the gym challenge for PTD2. I'm very excited for the auction house, it won't be super pretty at first but it will be functional.

Late last week I got some great ideas for how I would do the Blaine battle for the Gym Challenge. ReplyDeleteCome on Blaziken you can do this! He has speed boost, could learn good moves like bulk up, and is the original uber starter. Do not fail me, Blaziken ;_;

ReplyDeletePlease Sam, lower the encounter rate for the legendary dogs. They are too common for the legendaries. I suggest the rate similar to shadows/shinies or slightly better.

ReplyDeleteSam, I'm pretty sure you remember this, but just to say, in the Pokemon games of the Johto region Blaine's Gym is at the cave due the eruption that destroyed Cinnabar. It will not make any difference since the city not even appears.

ReplyDeleteAfter you beat the game you go to oak's lab and talk to the trainers in the room. If you talk to one some Hoenn pokemons will appears, the other trainers are other regoons. everything in Johto.

ReplyDeleteWith luck and strategy you can catch it with 2 or 3 level 25. Just adjust for most health (since the others have very few HP) and take a Grass pokemon with grass moves or other super with a poke of the same type. The same for Entei and Raikou, but with their supers.

ReplyDeleteBTW, you want the dragons for the Dragon Gym? If so I recomend one with electric move with area atack and a rock move too. She has Gyarados, Charizard and Horseas. They will not make a good damage. Recomend Lucario too.

ReplyDeleteRiolu evolves to Lucario with Friendship Doll. Lucario is Fighting/Steel, so high attack and defense, it has pretty good sp. attack and defense too and moves like Dragon Pulse and Aura Sphere. So, Perfect.

ReplyDeleteBut to answer, you need to give it a friendship doll and put it to battle. Once the battle start it will evolve.
You can try to sell rarer pokemons for coins. Choose and harder-to-catch pokemon and put it to trade with the option "Adopt Now Price" and choose how much you want for it. Someone with coins might buy it.

Was trying to find the best place to put this comment, and
ReplyDeleteEnded up here: I have downloaded ptd2 for my phone. And it works well, however some of the buttons are almost too small to use, like the play pause, and I found out quickly never to try to enter a house, because if it was locked trying to hit the green okay button was near impossible. And when I rapidly tapped it I would accidentally hit the a button again just to be back in the same place. those are my experiences. Hope this helps you tinker with more issues to make the game run better for others and thanks for all your work!

Agree, Ash is the dumbest trainer ever. He only uses attract in same gender pokemon. Always send thundershocks in ground types...

ReplyDeleteFirstly, I don't have them. Secondly, I meant that you should offer something better for a high level rare pokémon. You have some pokémons that are even rarer than the bird trio, even the shiny ones. Offer something better.
