Trainer VS!
A much requested feature will make an appearance in Pokemon Tower Defense 2. You will be able to battle other trainers in 1v1 battles! Here is how it works:

| Battle other Trainers |
- In the Story Mode in the game pick 3 pokemon in the order that you want them to come out with the attacks that you want them to have.
- Pick from available command styles (This will determine what pattern of attacks your pokemon will use when battling other trainers. The default and only one available when I realease will be to do the first attack once then switch to the second attack. More will be added in the future. Fun fact: This is the behavior of a lot of the enemies you fight in the game.)
- Pick Ability for that Pokemon.
- After you do that go to your Pokepad and press Trainer VS press the battle button and you will be paired up with another trainer to battle!
Once you get into a battle you won't get to switch out your pokemon or change attacks. You will have to rely on the order that you place them in and the attacks, abilities and command style you picked in order to win the battle.
Eventually there will be different things like different ranks and different avatars you can win for this mode! So look forward to that!
Champions Item Variety
A much needed feature will be added to Champions TD. Item Variety! What does it mean you ask? Well it means that the same item can now have different stats. For example you can get a Sword of the Bear that has stamina and strength or you can get the same Sword but it will be called Sword of the Wolf and instead of stamina it will just have strength but more of it. This will add more variety and more reasons to possibly replay levels to get the loot just the way you want it. If the loot isn't right then you can put it up for Auction or search for the item in the Auction House that has the stats you want.

Speaking of the Auction House, after a looooonggg lonnnggg looonnggg time the Auction House is almost ready to be opened! I look forward to it so I hope you guys do to!

I honestly do not see any use in multiplayer. Existing showdown ... And that was in the pTD1, not that I had much success. An unnecessary update. :/

ReplyDeleteThe yeti is frowning and I get that's probably because the game say's it's sad it lost it's toy that you use to recruit it but once it's recruited it shouldn't be frowning anymore, plus it's the only thing that looks forward.
Also I cannot wait till CTD is the main focus.
Are there going to be tiers like Smogon or something like that?

ReplyDeleteSincerly, exist a lot of other updates:
ReplyDelete1- More mega-evolutions
2- Included side-quest for obtain a rare pokemons (for example if you win a "trainer", and use a shiny team, win a rare shiny, and used a shadow team, win rare shine).
3- More gym challenges.
Game is lineal, and it's fun for 4-5 hours, but... You win tournament, and bye. Game is finish. At the most complete pokedex, but a regular pokedex in 5-10 hours, it's complete (i complete for examen in 6hours regular pokedex).
Existing showdown, the update is unnecesary. And useless.It would be better to concentrate on other updates, but ... Hopefully not a failure as was that of pTD1, although different. :/

ReplyDeleteI think adding more content like side quest doesn't help with the problem you are suggesting. For example I can spend a whole week on a side quest and you can beat it in 30 min. Multiplayer on the other hand could potentially keep you entertained for weeks (or more!)

ReplyDeleteDepending: The side quest (achievements), add new possibilities in game. It's short, yes, but add more difficult, and fun. In ptd1, achievements, shiny quest, or catch a legendaries birds, add others ways for game. And it's fun. In ptd2 I hace missing (say that too), the achievements, fo example.
ReplyDeleteIt's my opinión, obviously, but... Storyline it's great, yes, but it's lot of lineal, and i hav missing, for example catch other "legendary birds" (similar catch in X pokemons), or obtain someone pokemons for achievements (for example shiny hitmon).
my idea was to have mutliplayer on ptd2, and i cant believe it's happening... :'D

ReplyDeleteI must say the multiplayer is great, but I have a few issues:
ReplyDelete1. I can't go into Multiplayer if I don't have a full team in Pokestorage. If I have less than six Pokemon, then I'm stuck forever at "getting an opponent" screen.
2. It would be helpful to be able to switch your pokemon moves in Pokestorage. Now if I want to change for example Surf's position from 3 to 2 I have to - relearn a random move to take Surf's place and then - relearn Surf to 2 spot
3. It seems that in Multiplayer battle my Pokemon does it's first move, then second and... it's stuck on using the second for the rest of the battle.

ReplyDeleteanother thing, I think I've found a bug in the Trainer VS. : from time to time the pokemon in the first slot ( the left one ) loses any kind of item you give It, regardless being consumable or not. I've lost two blue orbs this way... Hope you can fix It.

ReplyDeleteWell even If It is not a bug, I think It would be better for Sam to solve this problem, making the items reappear after the fight ends, otherwise people will lose a lot of items quite difficult to get ( like the blue and red orb ).

ReplyDeleteAlso one more thingwhen using stealing moves like thief or covet can you still take the item but the user still has its item there. So if I used covet then I would get that item but the original user would still have its item.
