Alrighty, another week another update! This time around we've added a Profiles Screen where you can set up multiple profiles. Having several profiles will have more purpose later on when things are more locked down (they are very open right now for testing purposes) and we add more features like achievements and whatnot. There will be a delete option eventually as well but since they are fully editable there's no need right now.

We've also added a bunch of new graphics for the menus that Kevin has been working on. Graphics for the some of the other screens are still in the works but you can get an idea of how things will be looking from these new ones. It certainly makes it look a lot more finished, so that's always nice to see.

The Party Screen has been revamped a bit with the new graphics and now mainly uses drag and drop functionality. It's far less clunky this way and overall easier to use. Some of you have mentioned this in the comments and suggested such things so expect the whole interface to become a bit more intuitive as we continue with development.

There have also been a few bugs you guys/gals have pointed out and we've fixed several of them. There's still a few we're working on but the biggest ones should be gone now. Thanks for pointing them out!

Light skills will be coming soon, there were some technical difficulties in the graphics department because the pen to Kevin's tablet bit the dust and he had to wait a few days while a new one shipped in. All is well now though and we'll see about getting them in asap!

    2. can you guys make it so the buff icons dont flash? thx

      1. The current buffs flash because they only last a few seconds. Buffs from higher tier skills will last longer and stay solid till they are about to expire. So don't worry, they won't all be flashing all the time.

    3. yay. and Dan, when will you add nature skills? will you add any other skills?(lightning, wind, etc.)

      1. We're adding Light skills next, then Nature will be after that. Lighting and Wind type skills will be found in the Nature element, they won't have their own skill tree though.

      1. We're working on it, it's just not as high of a priority right now because no stats have been implemented yet so it's just cosmetic changes at this point.

    9. Can you please add a number 6 char? Just so we can get the "feeling" of how it will be, when we unlock more then 5 chars in the story?

      1. Five active characters is the limit. You can have more than that to choose from but you only get to pick 5 to use in battle at a time. Special story-related NPCs will be usable and fight with you also but they won't be considered one of your 5 active characters.

      2. I also ment give us 6 to choose from. i know 5 is the limit

      1. I can see how that could be useful like when adding characters and skills. Perhaps at some point we'll add that.

    11. I have a suggestion. In PTD there was always a move that always intrigued me. I always thought is would be a great move if the timing of it was easier and you had a set destination. That move is teleport (BTW why isn't teleport in my computer's dictionary?). I always liked experiments with it trying to get the timing right. First you had to put the pokemon on the slot, wait a few seconds, search for your pokemon, and switch it's move quickly before the pokemon teleported away. This strategy, of course wasn't very reliable as you have no idea where your pokemon is. I think you could use this move more affectivly in HTD. First this would be a spell with a mage. The mage would teleport around to the strongest enemy in it's teleport range and get the most ideal position to hit the strongest enemy and get more hits on it. This could be amazing for boss fights as the mage would keep teleporting to where the boss is. Of course the spell would also have some downsides including a mediocre reload time and a medium sized mana cost. By that I mean say You have 200 mana in all. every teleport would be 10 mana. Keep in mind you have no way to switch it off in battle so you have to be sure when go charging into a battle. And this would be a high class move. Speaking of mana, I noticed there are no mana limits right now. without mana limits, there would be no mana potions. Also mages would be too overpowered because of thier higher range than melee weapons. That is why I want mana limits. Whew. That was long. Hope you got the time to read all of it. To be honest I left out some of my more "trivial" questions. Like how does a red whelp produce fire without burning itself? Hey I got a joke too. Why did the treasure lord cross the cave? To Murder you! :D

      1. How many treasure lords does it take to screw in a light bulb?
        How many?
        I don't know it doesn't exist yet!

      2. A teleport spell as you describe it would be tricky to implement as an automatic skill. Really you can do something similar now by manually moving the character yourself. As far as mana, there won't be any. The skills will be balanced through other means like amount of damage, cooldown, range, etc.

The red whelp produces fire the same way any mythical creature such as a dragon would lol
Not exactly sure what a treasure lord even is :P

      3. Lol that's my question. How do mythical creatures produce fire without burning them selves?
The Tressure lord is going to be the first boss of HTD according to http://kxnhtd.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-12-23T00:41:00-05:00&max-results=7&start=7&by-date=false Sorry is this doesn't REALLY explain what the treasure lord is, but I couldn't find the exact post which kevin mentions it. Excuse my laziness.
